Senior Category Manager

The Company

This company is growing exponentially and constantly increasing market share.  They are seeking an experienced Senior Category Manager to join their team in their London office.

The Role

In this fast paced and challenging role you’ll be responsible for the day to day category management of a range of healthy short shelf-life food products for the major UK retailers. Reporting to the Head of Category & Shopper, you’ll be applying your commercial insight to provide world class marketing standards and strategically develop new business opportunities based on consumer data and category performance.

With your flair for identifying shopper and consumer trends you’ll anticipate the direction of the category, working closely with the internal teams to lead the category agenda for both branded and own label products. You’ll manage a number of customers and be able to understand their objectives, form strong, proactive relationships to unlock mutually beneficial growth.

In addition, you will carry out range, space, and promotional performance analyses and recommendations, demonstrating category expertise and leadership.

The Person

Suit a really talented and experienced Category Manager who has a proven track record of working directly with retailers on branded and own-label products and very importantly taking them to market. You will have strong analytical skills to interpret consumer insights from multiple data sources (Neilson, Kantar, Retail Link, Dunnhumby) as well as effective spreadsheet analysis skills. Having an ability to influence is paramount as you will be required to influence at all levels internally and externally.
