The job

The purpose of the Technical Assistant is to ensure that the business fully complies with all customer codes of practice and legal requirements that relate to the manufacture of food.

You will develop and deliver effective systems and processes to monitor, highlight, and improve product quality and food safety standards plus proactively identify opportunities to deliver solutions for continuous improvement and best practice across site.

Your experience

You will be educated to a HND/degree level in a food science, food technology, nutrition or related discipline OR possess previous food manufacturing technical or quality experience (both would be great!)

You will be confident and familiar with HACCP principles, have a good knowledge of QMS plus preferably be familiar with QMS and implementation of new systems.

To succeed, you will be positive, organised, highly motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.

More details

The Technical Assistant job is based in the West Midlands region and is paying up to £21,500 according to experience.

The core working hours will be 7.00 am – 4.00 pm, however flexibility may be required during peak times.

The role will initially be a 1 year maternity cover contract which is likely to become permanent for the right candidate.
