Senior Process Development Technologist

The Company

Our client is an expert chilled manufacturing company, supplying a wide range of innovative and on-trend products to a broad retail customer base. They are continually growing from strength to strength, and they are now seeking a proactive Senior Process Technologist to help drive product innovation and efficiency.

The Role

Reporting to the Process Manager you’ll play a central role within the Process team, contributing to the successful implementation and launch of innovative product ranges.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Working with your team and major retail customers to identify and support cost saving initiatives, ensuring optimum product efficiency and margin improvements

· Conducting process capability and launch reviews, updating systems and analysing data to ensure new product concepts are factory-friendly to guarantee high quality products at the best value

· Liaising with Project Engineers and Packaging teams to support and resolve packaging issues, making sure customer specifications are met whilst adhering to the latest food and packaging regulations

· Keeping abreast of industry trends including range concepts and new technologies, working with Technical teams to implement new procedures that help the business and its products achieve full market potential

The Person

Suit an ambitious and driven Senior Process Technologist who is looking to further their career with a progressive food manufacturing company. You’ll have worked within the chilled sector where you have gained essential experience of liaising with the UK retailers along with a proven track record of improving processes and procedures. You’ll must have a strong understanding of the technical aspects relating to product development and be able to implement corrective measures to ensure quality and safety is at its highest.

Previous people management experience would be desirable along with excellent project management, communication and influencing skills.
