Providing policy support to food & drink businesses on a broad range of regulatory, technical and food policy agenda. Policy areas will be flexible but will focus on food hygiene and new technology. The key is to be able to take on board information, particularly from government documents, and produce written summaries / verbal advice to companies.
Specific tasks will be:
- Monitoring scientific, technical and regulatory developments across specified policy areas, and communicating these to customers via summary documents
- Undertaking industry consultations, including data collation and analysis, and providing information and advice to customers
- Preparing and circulating committee and secretariat papers (e.g. agendas, action lists and minutes)
