The Role

A great opportunity for an experienced Compliance Officer/Manager to join and support our busy Technical Team

Hours: Monday – Friday. 8am – 5pm. Some remote working flexibility

Applications are invited from organised, meticulous and enthusiastic individuals who can demonstrate previous experience in a Fresh Produce or FMCG environment. Reporting directly to Manufacturing Technical Manager, you will be managing the internal auditing process, scheduling and conducting as required, equally taking responsibility for external audits in the absence of the Technical Manager.

The Compliance officer will also ensure all non-conformances are followed up appropriately across all of the sites and maintain Barfoots compliance to BRC standards & customer CoPs. Duties will also include will maintaining, auditing and improving the Company Quality Management Systems, procedures and documentation, and providing Technical Support to the Production, Maintenance and Hygiene teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own & manage the internal auditing process

• Manage external audits when required

• Ensure compliance to BRC Standards and CoPs

• Provide Technical support to Production, Maintenance and Hygiene teams

• Maintain/improve Company Quality Management Systems

• Ensuring products are produced safely to meet customer quality standards & legislative requirements

• Support Technical Managers with compliance and specification management

• Audit condiment and packaging suppliers

• Chair Internal Auditing meetings as per schedule and RCA investigations (when required)

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Experience in Quality or Technical Assurance (or equivalent discipline)

• Auditing Experience (Lead Auditor Preferred)

• Excellent time-management, organisational and multitasking skills

• Strong communication and relationship building skills

• Food Safety Level 2

• HACCP Level 2

Desirable

• HACCP Level 3 or higher
• Food Safety Level 3 or higher
• Fresh Produce experience
• Lead Auditor
• Lims system management
