Reporting to the Head of Technical you will play a critical role in managing the Technical Quality Team to ensure the safety and quality of all products manufactured on site. You will be the first point of contact for internal and external colleagues, suppliers and customers, effectively managing communications on technical matters. You will develop key relationships and offer respected and trusted opinions in a professional manner.
You will also support the delivery of business strategy and KPI’s, as well as identify and implement targets within your team to monitor standards and drive the business forward through continuous improvement initiatives. With your sound technical knowledge and team management abilities you will provide the practical and personal support required to achieve success within your team.

Ideally you will be educated to degree level and have gained experience within a high risk environment. A broad technical background with experience of HACCP, BRC and retailer standards is essential and you must have proven ability of managing and motivating a team.
First-rate communication and organisation skills are crucial as you will be liaising closely with internal and external colleagues, and experience with the major UK retailers is key as you will be managing multiple customer and stakeholder agendas.
