They supply innovative and complex products to the major retailers and are looking for Senior Packaging Coordinator to support the packaging technology function across all sites.
Reporting to the Packaging Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining the packaging databases across the different sites and developing trend analysis for packaging usage and waste
- Coordinating the approval of printed packaging colour standards between departments and providing packaging support and data in a timely and accurate manner to the internal and external stakeholders
- Developing systems for recording and reporting on Plastic Packaging Tax, Extender Producer Responsibilities and ensuring the business meets their legal obligations on packaging across all sites
- Collecting packaging specifications, BRCP/IOP certificates and packaging certifications from the packaging supply base.
You’ll also be involved in packaging trials in the factories for new product launches and existing product upgrades.
We are looking for an autonomous and highly organised person with experience within a technical focused role such as specification management, artwork coordination or technical project management within food manufacturing.
You’ll need to have excellent prioritisation skills in order to effectively work on multiple projects along with a keen eye for detail and problem solving abilities. You will be liaising with internal teams and suppliers so your communication skills must be first rate too.
