 The company

Our client is a highly successful and growing UK division of a European chilled foods group supplying a wide range of European, origin-branded and own-label products into Grocery Retail, Wholesale and Foodservice trade channels. Entrepreneurial by nature, the company has a strong ‘people culture’ where individuals are highly valued and are offered real autonomy, empowerment and responsibility in their job roles.

The role

The company has ambitious growth plans for the UK and they are now looking to expand their management team further with the appointment of a Human Resources Manager to own the HR agenda for their production site and company head office.

Your remit will be wide and varied and will include reviewing, developing and implementing HR policies and procedures. You will be the key lead in enhancing employee welfare and well-being. Other responsibilities will include modernising and streamlining the HR function and managing the Health & Safety training process.

About you

The ideal candidate will possess proven experience working as an HR Manager/Supervisor or Officer. To be successful you will need to be fully conversant with current UK employment legislation and ideally change management. Experience with Health & Safety management is beneficial. CIPD level 5 Diploma in Human Resources or similar is preferred.

The job requires a highly motivated, self-starter with strong communication and stakeholder management skills and an ability to work as part of a diverse, close-knit team in a flexible, fast-paced environment. You will be naturally highly organised, calm under pressure and possess an eye for the detail, with the ability to prioritise work and work at pace.

The position is based at the factory site in Gwynedd. The role will require regular travel to the company head office in South West England.
