QUALITY MANAGER – Dairy
£attractive salary & benefits
Gwynedd, North Wales

 The company

Our client is a highly successful and growing UK division of a European chilled foods group supplying a wide range of European origin branded and own-label dairy products into Grocery Retail, Wholesale and Foodservice trade channels. Entrepreneurial by nature, the company has a strong ‘people culture’ where individuals are highly valued and are offered real autonomy, empowerment and responsibility in their job roles.

The role

Our client has ambitious UK growth plans and they are now looking to expand their technical team further with the appointment of a Quality Manager. You will assist the Technical Manager in delivering total cover to the site and ensuring BRC standards, customer and legal requirements as well as improving quality in general.

Your remit will be wide and varied and will include providing relevant technical information and support to the site, whilst also providing products that are to the legality, food safety, quality and integrity standards demanded by key customers. You will ensure that the technical function is coordinated and the production environment is adequately supported.

About you

The ideal candidate will possess sound quality knowledge of the UK food market, gained either in a recognised food manufacturing company or food trading business. You may currently be a Quality Assistant / Supervisor looking for the next step up in your career, or alternatively, already operate at a Quality Manager level but are seeking a new challenge. Either way, we would like to hear from you.

Degree educated, to be successful you will need to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of BRC / food legislation and providing quality services. The job requires a numerate, pro-active professional with a clear communication style, a confident approach and a positive ‘can do’ attitude. You will be naturally highly organised, calm under pressure and possess a keen attention to detail. You will demonstrate a high level of commitment, be a positive team player and lead by example, having the energy and enthusiasm to resolve issues.

The position is based in the factory site, near Portmeirion, North Wales.
