As part of a leading international food group, this dynamic company supplies the major multiples with a wide range of market leading chilled products. They’re now looking for a dedicated QA Lead to join their thriving team and uphold their high quality standards across their twenty-four hour operation.
Reporting to the Technical Manager you’ll lead the QA team and be accountable for:
· Co-ordinating and maintaining quality management systems, measuring site compliance to legislative and customer requirements as well as company manufacturing standards.
· Managing the QA team to deliver the highest standards, ensuring ongoing certification for quality-based accreditation and excellent customer audit results.
· Liaising with internal teams to ensure that all necessary systems are updated ahead of product launches and all lines are consistently manufactured of in line with customer specifications.
· Identifying and delivering quality based improvements for site policies and procedures whilst training and developing your team to achieve best performance on both a team and individual basis.
We are looking for a motivated Quality Assurance professional educated to degree level with a Food Science or related qualification. You’ll also have a solid background in chilled food manufacturing.
You must have previous QA management experience and a sound understanding of the quality and technical aspects of food production, which includes working knowledge of HACCP, BRC and ISO standards. You’ll also need to have a proven track record of leading a team to achieve outstanding results, and previous experience of implementing new systems would be highly advantageous.
