Job Details

Are you a knowledgeable food technical manager who can lead and project manage key clients?
Are you able to act as the subject matter expert for food technical and wider environmental health areas?

Main Responsibilities:
Full responsibility for developing and delivering the environmental health consulting strategy
Managing and delivering numerous projects
Coordinating resource and independent consultants in and around the UK/globe
Providing technical expertise in relation to environmental health 
Responsible for ensuring that 80% of the time is billable to projects and /or training
Function as a backup to other members of the Consulting team where required
Assist with the provision of technical advice for key clients as part of crisis management including support with the out of hour’s service as required and crisis management exercises with key UK and international clients. 
Provide liaison with external bodies on behalf of clients and programmes, e.g. trade associations, national food safety agencies and non-governmental organisations and act as a spokesperson for identified areas of technical expertise

Key Skills Required:
You must have a degree (or equivalent) in Environmental Health, Food Science, or Food Technology, or relevant extensive experience in a related subject in environmental, or working towards a degree in environmental health
Substantial knowledge and experience of all relevant food, health and safety and fire safety legislation in this field
The ability to project manage to achieve high levels of performance aligned to KPI’s
Listen to client’s needs to determine other services which might be applicable to the client.  
Ability to deal with crisis management situations and advise clients on these in catering, hospitality and similar sectors
