Our client is a leading supplier of prepared produce to the major retail sector.

Key Accountabilities

  • Direct responsibility for delivering new product development for selected retailers
  • Accountable for on time development & launch of products, including setting up and managing the critical path process for each product launch and managing customer artwork development and sign-off
  • Make recommendations for product and packaging changes.
  • Keep abreast of competitor developments and launches.
  • Arrange samples for relevant retailer meetings.
  • Build & maintain strong relationships with retailer teams.
  • Point of contact with regard to product development queries regarding the retailers they are responsible for
  • Awareness of food and consumer trends across both the EU and a global basis.
  • Champion the innovation development of the business

Person Profile

  • Previous experience in product development or technical management experience working with / for major UK or EU Retailers
  • Chilled food experience is preferred
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint in particular
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to communicate very effectively across countries and time zones
  • Comfortable when presenting to groups large and small
  • Presentation skills that can effortlessly switch between informal and highly formal settings.
