Logistics and Export Manager

The Company

This premium branded food start-up supply delicious and healthy products to UK retailers and are growing significantly.  They are now looking for an experienced Logistics and Export Manager to join their Supply Chain team.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you’ll be managing the UK warehousing and fulfilment contracts with their 3PL partners and identifying salient costs and savings opportunities in line with the budget. Your responsibilities will include continually reviewing performance metrics to ensure optimum efficiency of inbound, outbound and fulfilment processes, and be proactive in improving all elements of the order management cycle. You'll work closely with the Supply Chain Customer Manager and the Supply Chain Planning Manager on all planning, forecasting and processing issues. You'll improve performance and systems to fully achieve the OTIF target for your customers. You will also play a pivotal role in setting up the route to market for finished products to be exported to international markets.

The Person
The ideal candidate will have previous logistics experience in a fast paced chilled food manufacturing or retail environment, and be proficient using SAP. You will have supplied UK retailers with a proven track record of developing and improving systems and procedures. Excellent numerical and IT skills are required along with good communication and influencing skills abilities as you’ll be building solid relationships internally and externally to achieve success. Having supplied international markets with short shelf- life finished products would be very advantageous.
