Reporting to the Site Technical Manager you’ll be responsible for the management of the QA team as well as site QA systems, monitoring all aspects of production to guarantee the highest levels of product quality. You’ll review and evaluate processes and procedures, implementing KPIs and driving any changes necessary to guarantee all legal requirements are met including HACCP and BRC standards. Your responsibilities will also cover the management and maintenance of internal and external specifications through all stages of production, ensuring that they are accurate, up to date and agreed with key customers. In addition you’ll be accountable for managing non-conformances, documenting and reporting any corrective actions and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Furthermore you’ll coordinate and contribute to preparation for third party audits as well as liaising with internal teams and suppliers to ensure that only the best raw materials are sourced for the company’s product range.
Suit a QA Manager with a Food Science or Technology degree who has developed their quality and technical skills within a chilled food manufacturing environment. Previous experience of managing quality systems is essential along with a sound knowledge of food legislation and regulations. You’ll have a proven track record of managing a small team along with the ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills.
