Kaizen is recruiting a Maintenance Manager for an international food manufacturer established for over a century, with sites across Europe and over 5000 people.
Their food manufacturing plant in the heart of Worcestershire is ambitious, growing fast and is investing in their people and their facility. Having invested close to £15m on new equipment and automation they are increasing factory capacity and increasing shifts to cope with demand. They have created a new position of Maintenance Manager to lead a cultural change programme, instilling an improvement mindset and a best-in-class preventative maintenance culture.
It is an exciting time to join and a real opportunity to make a mark. Reporting into the Site Manager, you will be responsible for all maintenance on site. You will have the opportunity to provide the vision, to coach, mentor and ultimately develop your team in maintenance engineering techniques and performance management, with the aim of creating a world class preventative maintenance culture. As you develop your team and help them solve problems through route-cause analysis, you will then be able to progress from focussing on the day-to-day to longer term strategies and sustainable Continuous Improvement. To be successful in the position you will be an engaging and inspiring manager with a track record in pulling teams together; improving team communication; implementing performance management; and, ultimately, in delivering a preventative maintenance culture, decreasing the costs of mean time between failures and ultimately improving plant efficiencies.
What we are looking for:
You are an experienced manager who has a proven ability in leading successful maintenance teams in FMCG or Processing manufacturing environments (experience in the food sector is a bonus but not a necessity).

What’s in it for you?
Our client is an innovative, forward-looking business that continues to make significant investment in the Worcestershire facility, allowing it to grow and securing its future. They believe in inspiring their people and encourage personal development and growth. They know that good people need challenge and variety, and they’re big enough to offer you enough challenges to last an entire career. They are always changing, growing and questioning, which is why so many people stay with them for so long.
