Job Details

Our client, a global Food Processor supplying bulk products has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Laboratory Technician to join their team in Staffordshire. 

Reporting to the Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Co-ordinator, responsibilities for the role will include:

  • Analysing food products to international standards
  • Following work instructions, procedures, and verbal instructions accurately
  • Keeping accurate and timely records of analysis
  • Maintaining a tidy and safe work environment
  • Calibrating and monitoring performance of equipment
  • Assisting with producing / updating Work Instructions and Risk Assessments
  • Providing comparative analytical data as requested
  • Assisting with quality checks
  • Providing support for internal and external audits and technical requests
  • Liaising with production, dry goods, and weighbridge

Essential / Desirable skills include:

  • Experience in a Laboratory Technician position, any industry considered
  • Computer literate and competent with Microsoft office
  • Able to work as part of a small team
  • Enthusiastic, reliable, and hard-working
  • Strong attention to detail, a systematic nature and good organisational skills
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Able to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Excellent communicator at all levels both internally and externally

This is a full time role working Monday to Friday on an 8-hour shift between the hours of 6am and 6pm on a rota basis.  The position commands a salary of up to £26,000 dependant on experience and offers a generous benefits package.
