About the Role
This is a very exciting time to join this business in a new and strategic role, as technical lead you will manage the team in the delivery of a high quality safe, stable and legal fresh produce range. Using your experience and knowledge specifically within the produce industry, you will develop and deliver a sourcing strategy for the future. This will drive quality and consistency and offer a resilient supply chain and world-class innovation for the future to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will be working in a Head of Technical or Technical Director role for a retailer or within the fresh produce supply chain. You will play a vital part in transforming the fresh produce category within the business and you will need to be able to influence internal and external stakeholders to deliver on this strategy. You will understand the different sourcing models and seasonality of the fresh produce sector. You will be driven, ambitious and passionate, possessing strong communication and planning skills.
To be considered for this role, you will need to have a strong background in fresh produce. You will need to be a strong people manager to lead and mentor your team.
The successful applicant will move through a multi-stage interview process, which can often take a few weeks to complete when accommodating stakeholders' prior commitments.
