Working with the Head of Supplier Assurance, you'll be accountable for your own portfolio of suppliers; food, packaging and food contact equipment, to improve technical policies and supplier compliance. Evaluating risk and supplier performance, coaching to raise standards and working with stores to investigate and manage complaints, we're looking for a proactive and motivational approach.

A Food Science or Microbiology degree will be supported by sector experience covering chilled, high-risk food. This role focusses on proteins and supports NPD, so knowledge of meat processing will be an advantage. Your technical management experience is likely to have come from Retail, Foodservice or Manufacturing, where your ability to communicate complex issues and influence cross-functional teams has achieved improved standards.

Around 40% of your time will be spent travelling to stores and suppliers with the remainder split between office and remote working, so a UK driving licence and willingness to travel is needed.
