NPD Technologist

Job ref: 7928 | £21,000 - £24,000 | Cheshire

The company

You will be working for a high-quality food manufacturer, within their BRC Grade A production facility, supplying products to their customer base all over the UK.

The job

The purpose of your role as NPD Technologist is to support the NPD Manager in the development and innovation of products, liaising with all departments to ensure products and services are supplied within agreed specifications.

Key tasks:

  • Create ideas for future trends from internal and external briefs in-line with business strategy.
  • Keep up to date with key development trends within the food industry.
  • Develop and oversee the production of foodstuffs.
  • Assign and prioritise new briefs in a cross-functional fashion.
  • Prepare recipes and action plans with the NPD Manager using nutritional’s and specifications.
  • Prepare bench-scale samples, review with customers, and organize shipment.
  • Organise and lead factory trials.

About you

Key skills and experience for the NPD Technologist include:

  • Ideally educated to a degree level in a Food Science, Food Technology or Food Product Development related subject.
  • Proven experience of working in an NPD environment (could be from a university placement).
  • High interest in food product development and good knowledge of market trends.
  • PC literate.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Able to plan and organise work efficiently and effectively.

More details

The NPD Technologist job is based in Cheshire and is paying £21,000 - £24,000 according to your experience.

The role also includes free parking on-site, free access to the employee assistance program, 21 days holiday per year, plus bank holidays.

The working hours are Monday to Thursday 08.00 - 16.00 and Friday 08:00 - 15:00.
