Are you a Technical Manager with experience of managing a supplier base across a varied food product range?
Are you happy to commit to a 1 year fixed term contract role?
Are you looking for a role where you have the flexibility to work from home, but with the need to travel to the office 1-2 days a week and travel to suppliers 1-2 days across the UK and Europe?

Main Responsibilities
To ensure that all products adhere to specifications, to maximise product quality, food safety and profitability
Communicating best practice to drive category performance
Proactively manage category supplier performance in all areas of quality, food safety and relevant specific project delivery.
Develop and drive quality improvement projects with suppliers
Develop long-term partnerships with key suppliers and stakeholders that will deliver sustainable value and improved quality.
Supporting the category teams to Identify and scope out any opportunities to deliver improved value and quality 

Key Skills Required
Graduate with relevant food related degree, as well as relevant auditing and HACCP experience
Strong track record in technical KPI management and delivery of improved quality and value performance with Suppliers 
Thorough understanding of root cause analyses, quality management systems and food production systems. 
Proven track record of working cross-functionally with key stakeholders to deliver objectives
Product management experience in a highly networked environment
Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
An interest in food (enthusiasm to work with and taste ALL types of food)
Excellent influencing and communication skills
Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise in a high-pressured environment is essential
Willing and able to travel across UK/Europe and beyond if necessary
