Our client  is a privately owned manufacturing business who have a state of the art factory based in the Lincolnshire countryside. With a great brand and award winning products they are continuing to grow the business. This role is responsible for all the Warehousing ( Goods In & Out and Planning function.

Candidate:

  • We are looking for a Supply Chain Manager who has led teams in a Manufacturing Environment

 

  • You will have extensive production planning experience and used to pace and working with all the major retailers.

 

  • You will have exceptional people management skills coupled with excellent coaching ability. Proven track record in managing performance through people.

Role:

 

  • Reporting to the Commercial Manager the Supply Chain Manager will take full responsibility for the daily, weekly and strategic planning process, MRP, customer orders and customer services and the warehousing functions.

 

  • A key responsibility of this Supply Chain Manager role is to ensure the factory are issued a daily production plan that is achievable and considers customer’s orders and effective use of resources.

 

  • You and your team will maintain stock levels of all finished goods. Ensuring correct tonnage levels in the warehouse at all times, optimising the economic order quantities and maintaining safety stocks. Working towards excellent customer service level standards are maintained.

 

  • As Supply Chain Manager you will ensure a Sales and Operations Plan for at least the next 3 months is generated monthly and meetings are held with all the relevant personnel.

 

  • You will ensure planning standards meetings are held and standards adjusted accordingly on at least a bi-monthly basis and challenge the operations team on conformance to plan. Working closely with NPD and production you ensure trial requests, cleaning down time and PPM time are granted where applicable but challenge the validity at peak times.

 

 

  • Working with customers you will inform the customers of any shortages and liaise with the front office with any amendments to orders. A key part is leading the warehouse teams , ensuring they are fully operational and able to deal with their daily tasks, providing the necessary training where required.
