Health and safety should never be an afterthought in any environment, especially within the food and drinks manufacturing industry. Sadly, it is not unheard of that H+S professionals are having to fight the daily battle to have their voice heard.
This is a site that take pride in working towards their proactive approach across all sites and hold H+S as number one priority. This role will enable you to be a voice that is welcomed in order to continue to push the high standards on site. The business is growing and are seeking ambitious candidates that they can support and grow with them. Investment is made back into the site and back into YOU; across all departments the site invest in qualifications and further training that will help you reach you potential.
This role combines both H+S as well as environmental factors. It is essential that you are passionate about driving both elements. Health and safety knowledge within manufacturing is a must, environmental would prove an advantage but not essential as the site will also provide training.
This role is within a group; your main base site will be within West Yorkshire, however, elements of travel to further sites within the group is required. In the event of travel to further sites your costs will be covered. You will be working within a successful H+S team and work together to continue driving the positive culture.
You will be an influential character as will be responsible for providing advice to the management team on Health, Safety and environmental issues. The site prefer to take a consultative approach to health and safety and the right candidate will enjoy the educational aspect of actions taken across site.
You will also get involved in training and assist with all risk assessments, surveys, inspections and audits on site. You will be vigilant in your approach in all aspects of the role and be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail to ensure that their high standards are maintained at all times.
Previous health, safety and environmental experience is essential for this position as well as relevant H&S and Environmental qualifications. Of course, you will also have prior experience working within the food and drinks manufacturing industry.
