Our client is a successful and entrepreneurial food brand within the chilled sector who produces high quality and innovative products for their major retail customers. Highly regarded and recognised, this premium brand are now seeking an ambitious Senior National Account Manager- Grocery to join their dynamic team in this challenging role.
Reporting into the Grocery Controller, you’ll be managing your own retail accounts and developing both new and existing business opportunities within the premium end of the food industry. You’ll be responsible for creating and delivering business plans across multiple accounts within the UK retail market whilst being the main contact for your customers, developing and maintaining effective relationships in order to sustain and grow business. You’ll help maximise range and distribution and launch transformational and innovative products.
Other accountabilities will include accurate forecasting across the product portfolio, price negotiation and planning, full P&L responsibility and budgeting as well as elements of category management and marketing. You’ll also work cross functionally with Supply Chain, Operations, Brand & Shopper marketing teams and use your extensive retail and product knowledge to influence key decision makers and drive business forward.
For this role you will be an experienced National Account Manager looking to enhance your commercial career further in this fast paced and challenging, customer focused role. You’ll have previous experience of working within a chilled food manufacturing environment managing top 5 UK Grocery customers. To succeed in this role you must be passionate about food with a close attention to detail and be well practiced at building strong relationships with a high profile customer base. You must have first class communication and organisational skills with the ability to inspire and lead other dynamic & passionate individuals.
