This is a fantastic position for a dynamic and commercially astute Account Manager where you’ll be managing your own accounts and developing both new and existing business opportunities within the food industry. You’ll be responsible for creating and delivering JBPs across multiple accounts within the retail market whilst being the main contact for your customers, developing and maintaining effective relationships in order to sustain and grow business.
You’ll relentlessly pioneer the future and pursue ambitious growth opportunities in your customers. You’ll also be resourceful & employ innovative solutions to deliver value, gross margin & volume targets for your customers. Working closely with the wider Sales team and your own effective team, you will share your ideas and help contribute to the team goals and vision.
You will be an experienced National / Key Account Manager or a National / Key Account Executive looking for the next step up where you can enhance your commercial career further in this dynamic, customer focused role. Previous experience of working with top 6 grocers is essential in addition to account management experience within a food manufacturing environment; experience dealing with discounters would be advantageous. To succeed in this role you must be passionate about food with a high attention to detail and be well practiced at building strong relationships with a high profile customer base. First class communication and negotiation skills are also crucial as you’ll need to be at ease managing expectations and delivering effective persuasive presentations to increase profit margins. You must also have excellent project management, sales and analytical skills in order to achieve ambitious targets and keep up with the pace of this fast moving category.
