Offering a range of services to the food, drink and retail sectors our client is a well-established organisation with an excellent reputation. They provide valuable insight to the industry as well as a range of events and strive to make a positive difference to the industry. They are seeking a big thinking, economics and public policy manager to help them identify the big industry trends. 

Key Accountabilities

• Monitoring key economic indicators and policy developments, analysing the impact on the sectors

• Contributing to key publications, a weekly economics bulletin and quarterly reports amongst others

• Delivering bespoke research for industry leaders, working closely with the chief economist

• Engaging with government officials and senior industry figures

• Informing long term strategic planning

• Assisting with the management of relevant advisory groups

 

Personal Profile

• Degree qualified in either economics and political science

• Experience from within or a genuine interest in the FMCG market 

• Political awareness and strong analytical skills 

• A proficient project manager, thrives under pressure and takes a flexible attitude to changing priorities and deadlines

• Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Well-organised with the ability to multitask, pay close attention to detail and meet deadlines 

• Experience with managing internal and external stakeholders 

• Flexible working

• Good understanding of the sector and an interest to know more
