Job purpose

 

To ensure that all products are safe and legal and made to the highest quality, ensuring that all customer and legislative requirements are adhered to at all times. 

 

Duties and responsibilities

 

  • Experience from a quality/technical based role within food manufacturing 
  • Great understanding of Quality and Food Safety requirements and standards in the food industry (ISO, BRC standards etc.)
  • Knowledge of HACCP and factory QMS gained through similar role in the food industry
  • Good understanding of spoken and written English
  • Support Site QA Manager to ensure sites meet the required standards for BRC
  • Assisting in the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality and HACCP systems
  • Carry out GMP and internal audits
  • Effectively investigate on quality matters, complaints and incidents ensuring all issues are dealt with promptly

 

The Person

  • Ideally educated to degree level preferably in a food related subject
  • At least two years experience in a food manufacturing environment
  • A passion for the food industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
