Customs & Logistics Coordinator

This role is working for a successful, BRC AA Graded food manufacturer.
The business produces high-quality food products and exceptional service to enable their food manufacturing customers to innovate and increase productivity without compromising on quality.
As Customs & Logistics Coordinator, you will work as a key part of a small and friendly customer services team, supporting multiple UK sites within the business.
You will be dealing with customs/TSS import and export declarations, directly with the company’s customs agent and hauliers, by both phone and email. Ensuring the business is compliant with HMRC custom regulations.
You will also book hauliers for UK based deliveries, monitor haulier performance, and address ongoing issues directly.
Key skills and experience for the Customs & Logistics Coordinator include:
- A minimum of 2 years logistics experience.
- Customs declaration experience preferred.
- Qualifications such as Level 2 Customs Practice & Procedure and Level 3 Certificate in Customs Compliance are highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- IT literate including Microsoft Excel and Word.
The Customs & Logistics Coordinator job is based in Colchester and is paying £25,000 - £28,000 according to your experience.
The working hours are Monday - Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
