This is a great opportunity to begin your career in technical/quality assurance in the food industry with one of the largest red meat processors in the UK. This family-owned business has a farming heritage with a great emphasis on sustainability and one of five sites across the UK.

The Role:

The successful candidate will report to the Technical Manager as a part of the busy technical and quality team. The main duties will include:

• Quality control checks including ph and temperature tests
• Online inspections of products ensuring compliance in accordance with customer specifications
• Carrying out Good Manufacturing Practise (GMP)
• Quality Audits to ensure compliance
• Assist with external Quality Audit preparation

The Candidate:

• Technical/food related qualification or proven relevant experience – Foundation certificate in Food Technology preferred
• Previous experience in the food industry
• Understanding of HACCP
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Ideally experienced in BRC and/or Retailer Audits

The Package

• Salary c. £23,000 depending on experience
• Monday – Friday (6am – 2:30pm and 8am – 4:30pm alternating weeks)
• Overtime available
