In this case, they were honest in that they didn't anticipate the strength and speed of the recovery of their sector. However, they are now making up for lost time and a key part of their plan is putting Supply Chain at the front and centre of their business.
You will report into the Head of Manufacturing UK and rather than being the wagging tail of commercial or production, the desire is to have this role making production responsible for their output and commercial responsible for their input, with the full support of the business.
This is why this role will likely progress to a Head of Supply Chain position in the not-too-distant future.

You will take full responsibility across the production planning and materials team (seven in total) who are fully on-board with new ways of working, they are all skilled in their work and are looking for you to offer the guidance they need.
