Factory Technical Manager

The Company

Our client is a forward thinking food manufacturer who supplies a variety of fresh and exciting product ranges to major retailers and wholesalers throughout Wales. They are now looking for a pragmatic and focused Technical Manager to manage the quality team at site.

The Role

Reporting to the Technical and Innovation Director you will play a critical role in managing the Technical Quality Team to ensure the safety and quality of all products manufactured on site. You will be the first point of contact for internal and external colleagues, suppliers and customers, effectively managing communications on technical matters. You will develop key relationships and offer respected and trusted opinions in a professional manner.

You will also support the delivery of business strategy, as well as identify and implement targets within your team to monitor standards and drive the business forward through continuous improvement initiatives. With your sound technical knowledge and team management abilities you will provide the practical and personal support required to achieve success within your team.

The Candidate

Suit an exceptional Technical Manager looking to develop their expertise within the fresh food manufacturing sector. 

Ideally you will be educated to degree level and have gained experience within a fresh food manufacturing environment.  A broad technical background with experience of HACCP, GMP, BRC and retailer standards is essential and you must have proven ability of managing and motivating a team.

First-rate communication and organisation skills are crucial as you will be liaising closely with internal and external colleagues, and experience with the major UK retailers in Wales is ideal as you will be managing multiple customer and stakeholder agendas.
