The job
The purpose of your role is to provide administrative and practical support to the operations department to assure the business meets legal obligations and provide evidence to support its accreditations.
Key tasks:
- Maintain the approved raw material and supply chain lists, including management of the live specifications database.
- Ensure new suppliers are set up according to the supplier management procedure.
- Manage QMS system and documentation.
- Administration and updating of contract packing documentation.
- Update and generate product specifications in both internal and contract packing formats.
- Assist in the administration and investigation of customer complaints.
About you
This role would suit a food science, food technology or similar graduate looking for their first food manufacturing job.
You will be a key part of the technical team where you can learn how to manage and maintain food safety systems. Therefore, the role would suit someone with an ambition to develop and progress.
Skills and experience for the Technical Assistant include:
- Educated to a degree level in food science, food technology or related subject (or equivalent experience).
- Food or beverage QA/technical experience would be a benefit i.e. from a university food industry placement.
- IT literate including Microsoft Office suite.
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The Graduate Technical Assistant job is based in the Hampshire/Dorset region and is paying £20,000 - £24,000 according to your experience.
The package includes 28 days including bank holidays, benefits, free parking and free tea and coffee.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5 pm.
