Engineering Transformation and Strategy - you will take the lead in a full robotic and automation project across multiple sites of varying scales.

This business has identified an opportunity to offer wide-scale operational excellence from an engineering perspective and you will lead one of the biggest shifts in the company's history; this role will scope and instigate change that will impact on this company for the next decade plus.
It is a newly created position that will see you take overall responsibility for the engineering function for this multi-site food manufacturing group. However, you will have strong site-based teams allowing you the opportunity to horizon scan and create the blueprint for a best-in-class automation and robotic upgrade project, of which you will be the SME.

As this is a newly created role, you will have full scope to impart your ideas of best practise rather than walking in a previous incumbent's shoes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Taking ownership of the strategic group engineering agenda
- Create and guide the groups approach to Automation and Robotics
- Facilitate the creation and review of the group capital expenditure program
- Liaising closely with Group Risk & Safety Director to ensure the wellbeing of all employees
What do you need?
We have a full job spec we can share with you, but FMCG multi-site engineering leadership experience will be key. But on top of that, the leadership and knowledge that can both create a full robotic & automation plan and the capability to implement it via specialist and site-based teams.
