We are working exclusively with an established and award winning food manufacturer who has achieved consistent year on year growth. As a key leader in their chosen categories the company supplies all major retailers and also has a strong food service platform.
In line with the company’s current organic and acquisitive growth, its strategic plans and its continued pursuit of technical excellence, a group wide role of Head of Technical has arisen.
This is a key senior leadership role that reports directly to the Group Managing Director and will play a key role in the design, coordination and delivery of strategic technical initiatives and imperatives in line with the group’s wider strategic plans.

You will also be able to build, develop and strengthen relationships, with internal colleagues and external customers, quickly and effectively. You will be an individual who is motivated by the challenge of a situation and who takes pride in driving and achieving the result.
When it comes to the experience required, it is important that you have a strong technical background within food manufacturing, at group or multisite level, and are used to working with private label. You will also be well-versed in liaising with customers, as these relationships play fundamental part of this role.
Some of the key responsibilities of the Head of Technical will be:
- Driving technical standards and governance in line with best practice and technical excellence
- Working closely with the site Technical teams and developing a group wide technical community
- Ensuring that BRC and Customer Codes of Practice standards are continuously met and upheld
- Being a key point of contact for appropriate customers – capturing actions and creating activity
- Driving quality and standards across the company to ensure they are head and shoulders above the rest of the sector
