Market leaders with their on trend food & drink offerings, they are now looking for an ambitious and pacey Technical Manager to ensure the continuous supply of safe and delectable products.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Food Safety this is a newly created technical role where you’ll be driving product quality, legality and safety for this forward thinking food brand.

You’ll utilise a collaborative approach and build strong relationships with your local and international supply bases, adding value whilst retaining key company values for sustainability and quality. This will include auditing your suppliers ensuring quality and ethical compliance standards are met.

You will be benchmarking and monitoring performance and audit data to ensure the highest quality levels to exceed customer and stakeholder expectations.  You will also be responsible for communicating allergen and nutritional information to customers.

Working closely with the innovations team, you will support them to ensure all new products meet with technical, quality and brand standards.

You’ll use your industry knowledge to drive the technical agenda, keeping up to date with the latest food legislation requirements to guarantee only the best products for your customers.

The Person

We are seeking a commercially-focused Technical Manager with a Food Science background and experience of working within food retail or manufacturing, ideally with experience across many product categories.  This will include knowledge of food safety management systems, HACCP, food legislation, auditing, supplier management and understanding the NPD process.

Exceptional communication, influencing and relationship building abilities are essential as you’ll be liaising with internal teams and suppliers at all business levels to successfully manage and drive positive changes.
