When I asked the site Quality Manager what she liked about working for this successful food manufacturer she said without hesitation "the people". She loves how everybody pulls together, supports each other, and have great camaraderie. Like every food business, there are challenges. It's a fast pace which means the time flies by; no two days are the same here, so lots to keep you busy and add to your skills and development.
It's all about food safety, without people like you, supporting Technical and Quality food manufacturing teams, the risks increase. That is why this role is critical in delivering excellence to all of the major food retailers.
With your range of knowledge, you'll be supporting on audits, monitoring quality systems and procedures, and providing technical assistance across the whole factory. You'll relish the responsibility of having control of the finished product specification, you will also carry out product testing, organoleptic, chemical, and micro, giving you the opportunity to back the new product development team with new trials and launches.
Some experience of good manufacturing processes and HACCP systems are important. It doesn't matter which food category you have worked with before - in this case it's bakery - more important is attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
