DEMAND PLANNER
Gloucestershire
Competitive salary, bonus & benefits

The Company

Our client is a highly successful division of a major FMCG company operating across a number of diverse categories. The company has a growing presence in the grocery, household and healthcare categories with market-leading brands. Still proudly privately owned and entrepreneurial, our client remains committed to strengthening its presence in the FMCG sector.

They are now looking to strengthen their planning team with a Demand Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for their next career move and who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the demand planning side of the integrated business planning (IBP) process, ensuring that a 15-month statistical base forecast is updated monthly for all products/customers, and reviewed according to priority to ensure accuracy. You will ensure inputs from marketing, sales and finance are incorporated into the forecast.

You will be forecasting, monitoring the stock management and looking at the effects of supply variations. Reviewing micro and macro sales history trends in order to provide accurate sales forecasts will be a key focus within this role. In addition, monitoring and maintaining stock and supply updates to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained to minimise waste and maximise profit. This role will be focused on analysis, trends and strategic thinking.

About You

Of graduate calibre, experience in a similar role within an FMCG organisation is beneficial in order to be able to demonstrate the job-specific competencies. A working knowledge of demand planning software tools and an IBP process would be highly advantageous. An advanced level of competency in Microsoft Excel is essential.

Ambitious recent graduates, in e.g., Maths or Statistics, will also be considered as my client offers an outstanding training programme.

Excellent communication skills are essential and you must be confident liaising across departments, both internal and external to the company. You must have good analytical and numerical skills along with strong team working skills.

If you think you’ve got what it takes and are keen to develop a career with a leading FMCG company then please apply online, or email your CV to Maria Murphy at mariam@smithcarey.co.uk, quoting reference number MM/2273.

Closing Date for applications:  11th February 2022
