Great opportunity for a General Manager to join a market leading food company!

Our client is a well-established global business who have exciting plans in place looking for an ambitious GM to join their growth journey!

As General Manager you will report directly into the Group Managing Director and be fully accountable for ensuring the efficient running of a fast-paced factory. You will have full accountability for all factory operations including production, packaging, food safety, H&S, technical, hygiene, planning & scheduling across site as well as full P&L, budget, and the commercial piece too.

As the site GM you will often be the most senior individual on the site therefore will need to be an influential leader to your team of up to 100 offering mentoring, training, and coaching where required.

This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking, innovative company who are always looking for ways to improve! You will be the driving force in embedding a Continuous Improvement culture across the site with both people and process!

To be considered for this role you will have worked at a site leadership level before within Food Manufacturing and be highly experienced across factory operations and the associated technical challenges. You will be an effective communicator and able to build great relationships both internally and externally (suppliers and third parties).

My client is looking for an ambitious leader who has a real gravitas, a credible individual who can build effective teams and help grow business offering a best-in-class service! Please note this is a Monday - Friday, days-based role and will require some travel and potentially overnight stays every few weeks and when there is a business need.
