Half an hour's drive from Dublin in a culinary innovation centre that would blow your mind, they create food products you will recognise and most likely have eaten. They have some of the best brains within food innovation and product development on the continent. We're looking to get you involved as an Innovation Chef. It will be a role that as a passionate and creative Chef, you will thrive within linking science to satisfied customers.
This role is within the Research and Development team focusing on plant-based products, working alongside Food Scientists and Technologists as you conceptualise brand new ideas for the plant-based space. Your role is to explore, challenge, investigate, prototype, and generally go wild with food innovations. You'll push boundaries, roll your sleeves up, experiment, and no-doubt sweat blood and tears as you look to solve the puzzles, that make extraordinary food ideas, a reality.
Meat-free, plant-based foods had an overdrive since the pandemic, and we know it's no fad. The world is waking up to the power of plant-based, but it's not quite completely right. Yet. In this role as Innovation Chef, you're the bridge between the Scientists, and what's desirable in the eyes of the consumer. Taking something incredible and making it not just edible, but attractive.

- A strong Chef background - awarded restaurants, gastronomic trailblazers, market leaders in their food styles
- Ideally a culinary or food science degree
- Ideally at least two years within NPD or food Innovation
- Strong communication skills - confident to present ideas and explain concepts
- An ability to apply key learnings to projects
- Strong knowledge of global food trends
- Project management skills
- Reporting skills - clearly, concisely, and engagingly
- A genuine fascination within food science - how, why, where it can work for now and in the future
This is a role joining the dots between insight, the food craft and science to create best in class products. You will have an active interest in science, but this position as Innovation Chef will also build your scientific knowledge, learning as you go with literature, application and collaboration with your food scientist colleagues.
