We are working exclusively with a growing, ingredients manufacturer, based in Essex, in their search for an Operations Director to join their team. With this position you will be part of the exec board team and will be responsible for production, planning, engineering, transport and warehousing. 

As a company, they are part of a much larger group, however they keep a firm hold of the  family feel to their business, with a tight-knit team that genuinely looks out for one another. To be successful within this Operations Director position you will be an individual who can be assertive and driven whilst being able to get stuck in and wear multiple hats to get the job done. You will be an innovative thinker who is strong with numbers, utilising your strong attention to detail to ensure no corners are cut to get the job done.

You will need to have experience within Food Manufacturing, will have experience working within a senior leadership team and be strong on actively developing teams. You will also have experience of capital projects and driving productivity and operational improvements.

Some of the key responsibilities of the Operations Director:

  • To ensure the team are coached and developed to be able to meet the needs of the business 
  • To ensure product is processes and distributed to the agreed quality and cost standards 
  • To develop a site operational strategy that is aligned to the overall business strategy 
  • To create a live operational improvement plan that looks to improve margins and reduce costs
  • To develop, agree and implement a rolling 3 year capital plan 

To the successful candidate they are offering a salary of up to £80,000 per annum + bonus and benefits, including a relocation package should you need it.
