I am seeking an Engineering Shift Manager to join the team at our Client's food manufacturing facility in Chester.
You will be responsible to demonstrate planning and prioritisation of resources for reactive (breakdown cover), proactive (planned maintenance) and planned (project) work dependant on various internal priorities principally indicated by the Engineering Manager. The individual can complete all relevant paperwork relating to the operation of the shift; attendance, breakdown reports, holiday requests, utility reports and PPM. Demonstrate the ability to produce the relevant Risk Assessments, Work Permits, Operating Procedures for equipment being maintained / installed. The individual demonstrates leadership of their team and delegate work to the appropriately skilled engineers within their team including managing and control external suppliers/contractors.
You will hold relevant qualifications (Level 3 or above), have previous experience managing a team of diverse engineers in an FMCG environment. Possess a proven ability to build, mentor, motivate and lead teams through periods of technological and cultural change. Familiar with modern maintenance and manufacturing methodologies. Excellent communication skills at all levels and Robust and flexible approach towards work.
