The Role
As a passionate foodie who loves to cook and is inspired by the latest trends and ingredients you will be responsible for developing and managing, thorough to launch, all NPD aspects to bring delicious new prepared vegetable to market.
A NEW opportunity for a Senior Product Developer to join our busy Development Team - reporting directly to the Product Development Manage. This pivotal role will hold responsibility for developing and launching delicious new prepared products for our high-profile customers - transforming compelling insights and customer briefs from ideas through to new product launch in stores. This will ensure that we continue to add value to our core range of products through fresh cut, packaged products and centre of plate meal solutions – making it easier for customers to find delicious food that makes them feel great and incorporate more delicious veg-centric options into their diet.
Key Responsibilities will include, but not restricted to:
• Development and management of all aspects of Product Development.
• Researching and seeking out hot new trends, sourcing amazing new ingredients, playing with flavour combinations and translating into fabulous concepts
• Coordination of production trials, translating what is made in the kitchen to the factory.
• Developing suitable packaging solutions to ensure consumer & shopper expectations.
• Preparation of products for internal and retailer presentations to showcase.
Desirable skills and experience
• Food related qualification
• Thorough understanding of NPD Process
• Proven track record of successful new product development
• Creative mindset and drive to bring new products to market
• A strong, collaborative team player who gets energy from developing new recipes and products.
• Ability to work as part of a small dedicated team.
• Happy to get hands on and take ownership of products from concept to launch.
• Solid communication skills, both written & verbal
• Full UK driving licence
