Developing new menus is great. Doing that for a range of popular brands, adding new surprises, and enhancing firm favourites every day, well that's just magic!

You might have noticed; we're getting busy again, but we know things aren't quite where they were, although there is a renewed confidence in the world, and as a nation, we're seeing the rise of popular hospitality businesses once more. It's bloody brilliant!!!

So, here is a new role for a rapidly growing hospitality consultancy. More and more requirements are coming their way from clients in the foodservice and branded restaurant world. Their reputation certainly precedes them and as such they need additional talent to assist them deliver ground-breaking ideas and projects.

It's a great time to join such a business, if creativity in the kitchen and careful consideration for everything delicious, is your thing.

Many Chefs create mouth-watering dishes, pushing the boundaries of culture and flavour. However, it's a different challenge when you won't be on the pass each night delivering it. Considering your customers' capabilities and restrictions is a large part of the creative and commercial process here, as you guide their brigades through a new culinary adventure.

This Restaurant Consultancy works with brands all over the country from Cruise Lines, Casual Dining Chains, QSRs, and Hotel Groups and they don't simply create fantastic menus. They consider the whole process, supply chain, operations, price points, specifications, kitchen ergonomics / equipment and brand equity for their client, within the whole brief.

We're hiring another Development Chef to join a team of two already in the Development Kitchen, working alongside Food Technologists, Product Developers, and Project Managers.

You will already…
  • Have proven experience working with well-loved and popular restaurant brands, pubs or hotel groups as a dedicated Development Chef
  • Have worked with multi-site favourites, already aware of the creative challenge that impacts delivery and fulfilment for each site
  • The "know how" to create dishes and SOPs for various brigades, in-line with skill level and experience
  • Understand the challenges in delivering creative and desired menu additions, that fit within commercial parameters for a specific food style and brand
  • Present ideas to various stakeholders within F&B, Marketing, Procurement and Operations

Being able to manage a critical path and multiple projects at your client's kitchens, presenting ideas that fit their brief is a common requirement. As is working on specification manuals and developing recipes to exacting standards and budgets.

If you have been here before, and you know what is required whilst pointing to some proud achievements in a similar setting, then we want to speak with you. We'll explain why this might be the most exciting and rewarding Development Chef job you'll have.
