Process Engineer

A Process Engineer is needed for this highly successful manufacturing business. This will be a Monday - Friday role and this role will be responsible for ensuring that all processes, procedures and machinery are continuously challenged to be the most efficient and to support automation of processing.

THE PROCESS ENGINEER

The role of the Process Engineer is to ensure that all processes, procedures and machinery are continuously challenged to be the most efficient and to support automation of processing. To improve continuously the conversion of raw materials into bulk. The role will look to seek technical solutions to meet the SAP schedule and to be on time, in full, at the specified cost or better, to the set standard of quality and the required quantity by the most efficient utilisation of the equipment and labour. Key responsibilities will include:To use Lean and Six Sigma as the chosen tools for improvement, waste control and problem solving.To continuously improve the processes and procedures (Including methods of manufacture in liaison with Research & Development and Quality departments).To share/train others involved in processing to technically improve the department.Ensure the quality of product produced is maintained to specification using the TQM system.Maintaining required standards of GMP, TQM and seek to improve standards of safety and line labour efficiencies.



THE IDEAL CANDIDATEQualification in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related Science/Engineering subject is desirable.People management experience is essential.SAP user with full knowledge of methods, release and processing procedures within SAPKnowledge of the Trac-it release & weighing system is an advantage but training is available.Proficient in Microsoft packages and general IT knowledge.Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.Ability to use latest digital processing equipment and read/control from HMI controllersExperience of leading and/or participating in continuous improvement projects (Six Sigma or Lean would be an advantage)Solid critical thinking skills and ability to create new, innovative ways to handle situations. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, TPS, TPM, visual management, etc. with the ability to apply those principles in daily work.
