Quality Systems Manager

Our client, a bulk food processor who is passionate about sustainability is looking for a Quality Systems Manager for their site based in Warwickshire.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Food Safety and  Quality Management Systems and will liaise with the Operations and Hygiene teams to ensure that the site operates to the highest standards.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, responsibilities for the role will include:

• Monitoring all aspects of the business’s Food Safety and Quality Management System.
• Responsibility for the oversight of all food safety, legality, integrity and quality parameters.
• Deputising for the Technical Manager.
• Working in collaboration with the Production Manager, Laboratory Manager and other key personnel to ensure the highest standards are always maintained.
• Undertaking GMP and Internal Audits.
• Participating as key member of the HACCP and TACCP teams.

Essential / Desirable skills include:

• Experience working as a Quality Systems Manager or in a similar role in the Food industry.
• A detailed understanding of the BRCGS Food standard and its implementation.
• Clear and concise communication skills at all levels.

• Ideally, knowledge of food chemistry laboratory working practices.

• Internal auditor trained.
• HACCP level 3.
• Driving licence and own vehicle is essential as site is not easily accessible by public transport.

This site-based role offers a competitive salary of £30k-35k and working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm with flexibility.
