Artwork & Specifications Technologist - FTC

The Company

This is an incredible opportunity for a passionate and pragmatic Technologist looking to join the market leaders in chilled food manufacturing.  They supply premium branded & own label products to the major UK retailers, and are now looking to take on an Artwork & Specifications Technologist to join their technical team. This a fixed term contract of 12 months. 

The Role

Reporting to the Quality Systems Manager, you’ll be accountable for managing all artwork and packaging generation, whilst giving support to the technical teams. Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading all aspects of the artwork process, from generating content briefs to coordinating the sign off process with stakeholders, whilst ensuring all packaging meets company legislative requirements.

• Maintaining existing specifications for own label products, including collating and reporting microbiological test results and tracking potential trends.

• Managing routine traceability exercises across multiple kitchens, ensuring internal audits are completed to strict timelines.

• Supporting the Supplier Assurance Manager in regards to the new supplier management system, including sign off for raw material specifications.

The Person

We are looking for a confident Technologist with a Food Science degree, who has experience of managing the artwork process as well as creating and managing product specification systems.  You will ideally have experience of interaction with retail customer technical teams and are now looking for an exciting role to enhance your career.

You will need formal training in advanced food safety and HACCP.   Experience and capability on Waitrose product pathway system would be an added bonus but not essential as you should be able to learn new systems with ease.
