We are working exclusively with a growing chilled food manufacturer, who are an SME and are all about authenticity and unrivalled product quality, in the search for a Production Shift Manager to join their team in West Sussex. The Production Shift Manager they are searching for will be leading teams while implementing and delivering improvements around manufacturing best practise.

On top of this, they have recently been certified as a B Corp which demonstrates further their focus on their employees, their customers and the environment. 

The person that will be successful as the Production Shift Manager will be an individual who can bring high energy to the table pairing this with great organisational skills, you will be someone who won’t shy away from a challenge and will actively seek to take ownership of a situation and inspire your team to do the same. 

The experience you will need will be leading and managing a team, experience working within food manufacturing and have good understanding of continuous improvement. It would also be fantastic if you had experience working with fresh chilled or complex products and worked in a growing and developing business, however this is not essential.

Some of the key responsibilities of the Production Shift Manager:

·       Managing resource levels within set budgets to deliver schedules 

·       Ensure that the team understand the department KPI’s and how they drive production success 

·       Carrying out root cause analysis on any non-conformance issues 

·       Develop the team to ensure they are engaged, skilled and motivated 

·       Monitor waste and identify opportunities to improve processes to reduce waste

·       Support the business with driving a Lean Manufacturing culture

They are offering the successful candidate circa £38,000 annual salary + benefits, including a relocation package.
