With the ‘Meat Free’ market exploding, with an estimated market worth over £600 million in 2021 it is rapidly gaining pace and importance.

The Tofoo Co in just 5 years has become the UK market leader in tofu & turnover has increased from £600k to £19 million and now employs more than 160 people. They have the ambition to treble turnover in the next 10 years.

The business is based in Malton North Yorkshire & to help them on their journey they are looking for a commercially astute technical champion to head up the technical team.

The role

Reporting directly to the Operations Director you will be working towards designing and implementing a technical strategy to ensure high levels of quality are achieved.The key focus of this role is to ensure the technical function delivers a culture of excellence in food quality – knowing what good looks like with a keen eye for detail coupled with a passion that engages and excites the people you work with. This is a branded business and so consistent and high technical standards are a must. This is an entrepreneurial values based business and as such you will have the freedom to make your own decisions and the flexibility to make these happen, someone who understands that with risk comes rewards will thrive.

An innovative individual with proven technical experience gained within a chilled food environment you will be a natural leader who is customer focussed with the ability to translate the company vision into clear ambitions for your team as well as driving cultural change.
