Procurement Manager, Food Manufacturing, Lake District

Greenfield procurement opportunity for an experienced food industry procurement professional.

My client is a leading food manufacturing business with a strong heritage and a solid track record of growth. I'm looking for an ambitious Procurement Manager with progressive experience within a food manufacturing environment and a strong background in strategic sourcing, planning, NPD procurement, stakeholder management, and supplier development. You will need a category management approach to sourcing and have real "hands-on" experience with very strong supplier development and stakeholder management skills.

You'll be responsible for improving costs, service, quality, and delivering innovation. The role with encompass sourcing and negotiating a varied range of ingredients and packaging, ensuring innovation and cost value to all areas of procurement.

You'll work very closely with Technical, Commercial, Product Development, and Supply Chain teams. It's a fast-paced environment and you'll need to have outstanding negotiations skills and excellent communication skills. Strong commercial acumen is essential and we're looking for someone who is a real self-starter with strong project management skills.

Flexible working is available for this role, however it is envisaged you would need to be onsite at least three days a week in the Lake District.

This role offers you the ability to shape and deliver your Procurement strategy and to really inform and influence the business plan moving forward.
