The Role:

Reporting to the Despatch Manager, this role will be responsible for managing a team of Despatch Coordinators and Operatives to ensure the correct receipt, handling, and distribution of goods to customers.

• Set objectives and expectations of performance for all Despatch Operative and Coordinators on shift to ensure all KPI’s are achieved
• Create and maintain awareness / compliance with environmental, health and safety, and legal standards
• Ensure optimal labour utilisation with the company warehouse management system
• Recruit, train, and develop staff to reflect company values
• Execute continuous improvement strategies
• Build and develop relationships across other functions for optimal performance

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory / management position
• Experience in a food / FMCG distribution environment
• Track record of managing and developing a team
• Excellent communication skills

The Package:

• Salary c. £45,000
• 12 hours shifts involving days and nights
