Area Sales Manager

Supplying high end hotels, restaurants, as well as caterers, our client is an award winning food business, enjoying an outstanding reputation for quality and innovation.
Key Accountabilities
The ideal candidate will either have at least two years sales experience along with a good understanding of the food and hospitality industry, and an interest in cooking or a qualified chef who has demonstrable people skills.   Handling a portfolio of accounts within the South and West London area, you will be responsible for building upon an already impressive client base through targeted and planned development of both new and existing business.  You will be the first point of contact for your customers and use this to maximise sales and loyalty.  Liaising with internal colleagues, you will help devise and implement the strategic plan for your area, ensure that new orders are being processes in a timely manner and keep the CRM up to date.  Following up on referrals, approaching customers to develop new business, as well as keeping up to date with trade press and exhibitions to generate new leads.
Personal Profile
Either two years' experience in a commercial role, preferably in the food industry or a qualified chef with appropriate people skills and a genuine interest to step away from the kitchen into a commercial role
An outgoing, friendly and positive approach
A can do attitude, with a constructive and problem solving approach 
An independently motivated character who also works well as part of a team
Commercially driven, a curious nature and a passion to learn
Full, clean driving licence 
Good relationship builder, with excellent communication and presentation skills
A full time position, with possible flexible/hybrid working pattern by request
